Answering the phone shouldn’t cost a salary.
Morox Voice picks up every call to your shop. It books the job, reschedules it, handles the warranty callback, and tells the customer where the tech is — then writes all of it into Workiz. The work you’re paying someone to sit and do.
$900 once. No salary, no payroll tax, no turnover, no sick days.
- Appliance repair
- HVAC
- Plumbing
- Electrical
- Garage doors
- Pool & spa
Connects to Workiz, Housecall Pro, Jobber, ServiceTitan, Google Calendar, Twilio and QuickBooks.
The math
A phone line doesn’t send an invoice.
The person on it does, every month.
Every year, to answer the phone
Morox Voice costs $900, once. That is about 5 working days of the same bill.
Take it off payrollWhat it handles
The calls that fill an office person’s day.
Not a phone tree. The same conversations, handled the same way, without the headcount.
-
Books the job
Takes the address, the make and model, the symptom, and the window. Puts it on the board in a slot your tech can actually make, and texts the customer a confirmation.
-
Reschedules without the phone tag
Plans changed. The agent finds the next open slot, moves the job, and confirms it on the spot — instead of a message someone has to return tomorrow morning.
-
Handles the warranty callback
“You were here Tuesday and it’s doing it again.” The agent pulls the prior job, books the re-service at no charge, and flags it for you before it turns into a fight.
-
Answers “where’s my tech?”
The status calls that eat a dispatcher’s whole morning and bill at dispatcher rates. The agent reads the job, gives the real window, and says when the tech is running late.
-
Takes the complaint before you do
An angry caller gets a patient conversation, a concrete next step, and an escalation to you with the full transcript attached. It never loses its temper at hour nine.
-
Screens out the junk
Solicitors, wrong numbers, and “is your refrigerator running” get handled and logged. Nobody on your payroll spends a minute on them.
How it works
Three steps. About a week.
-
Forward your number
Keep the number on your truck, your van wrap, and your Google listing. You forward it to us — every call, or only the overflow nobody picks up in four rings. Your choice, changeable any time.
-
We train it on your shop
Your trades, your service area, the brands you work on, your diagnostic fee, your booking rules, who to call when it is genuinely urgent. We connect it to Workiz and your calendar, then you listen to test calls until it sounds right.
-
It answers, and nobody is tied to a desk
Every call is transcribed and written to your CRM. You can listen to any of them. You can change the script whenever you want, and it takes effect on the next call — no retraining, no notice period.
Your software
It writes to the system you already run on.
A booking that lives in a voicemail transcript still costs someone an hour to type in. Every call this agent takes lands in your dispatch board directly, with the job type, the address and the notes already filled in.

Running something else — or a spreadsheet and a whiteboard? We’ll wire it up. That is what the setup fee is for.
From the shops
What it looks like after a month.
We were three weeks from hiring a second person for the office. We didn’t. That is a salary we never added.
The answering service was $480 a month to take messages we still had to call back. This one books the job while they’re on the line.
My dispatcher stopped being a switchboard. She does scheduling and parts now, which is what I was actually paying her for.

What it actually costs to run
You pay your own telephony and AI usage, billed by the provider, direct to you. We do not mark it up and we do not touch it. It runs about $0.10–$0.20 a minute.
A shop taking 400 calls a month at four minutes a call → roughly $160–$320 a month, paid to the carrier.
If it doesn’t work out
- You keep your number. It was never ours.
- Turn the forwarding off and calls ring your office again, same as before.
- No contract, no notice period, no cancellation fee.
Straight answers
The things owners ask on the first call.
Can this really replace the person answering my phone?
It replaces the repetitive part, which in most shops is the large majority of the calls: booking, rescheduling, warranty callbacks, status questions, and junk. It does not replace judgment — collections, a customer you want to handle yourself, quoting an unusual job. Be honest with yourself about your own mix before you decide.
What happens to the person answering phones now?
That is your call, not ours, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. What we see most often is that they stop being a switchboard and start doing the work that was always getting pushed to the end of the day: chasing parts, following up unsold estimates, collections, scheduling. Shops that are growing usually use this to skip the next hire rather than to cut the one they have.
Is it cheaper than an answering service?
An answering service runs $200 to $600 a month, forever, and mostly takes a message that somebody on your side still has to call back. This is $900 once, and it books the job into Workiz while the customer is still on the line. On a two-year view an answering service is $4,800 to $14,400.
Will it sound like a robot?
It is a natural voice with sub-second response, and most callers do not ask. If a caller asks directly whether they are talking to a person, it says it is an assistant. We do not let it pretend otherwise, and you would not want it to.
Do I have to change my phone number?
No. You keep the number on your truck, your van wrap, and your Google listing. You forward it — either every call, or only the ones nobody answers in four rings. You can turn the forwarding off whenever you like.
What happens when it cannot answer something?
It says so, takes the details, and escalates. Anything urgent rings straight through to whoever is on call. It never guesses at a diagnosis and it never invents a price.
Can it quote a price?
Only the numbers you give it. If your rule is that the diagnostic is $89 and the tech quotes the repair on site, that is what it says, every time. It will not make up a figure to keep a caller happy.
Does it really work with Workiz?
Yes, and both ways. It creates and assigns new jobs, reschedules and cancels them, looks up job status and technician ETA, and pulls customer and prior-job history mid-call. Housecall Pro, Jobber, ServiceTitan, Google Calendar and Outlook work too.
How long does setup take?
About a week from the day we have your call rules, your rates, and access to your CRM. Most of that week is you listening to test calls and telling us what to change.
Are the calls recorded?
Yes, with the consent notice your state requires, and you set how long recordings are kept. Transcripts are attached to the job in your CRM, so your techs can read what the customer actually said instead of a note somebody typed from memory.
So what does it cost every month?
Nothing to us. You pay your own telephony and AI usage direct to the provider, roughly $0.10 to $0.20 a minute. A shop taking 400 calls a month at four minutes a call spends about $160 to $320. We do not mark that up.
Talk to us
Give us a number.
We’ll call you back.
Tell us what you run and who answers your phone today. We will call, go through which of last week’s calls the agent would have taken off their desk, and tell you plainly if it is not worth it for a shop your size.
- We call within one business day
- No contract, no deck, no pressure
- You keep your number either way
